This weekend saw Otterton continue their pre-season form with an impressive 5-2 win against Exeter side Newtown. With two goals from new signing John Ekins, the Otters showed how far they have come since promotion only 2 months ago.
Otterton were victorious in their second pre-season outing against premier opposition Beer Albion. After going behind twice Otterton came back to win the tie 3-2, showing what the team is capable of this season.

On Wednesday the 01/08/07 the reserve team kicked off their preseason with an impressive 4-2 win over a Heavitree social third team with a lot of players from their first team involved.

Otterton have now been promoted to senior one due to the reshuffle and subsiquent creation of the Western penisula division. Otterton finished sixth in their league after tailing off in the run in, but their early season dominance was rewarded with promotion.
Otterton sealed a magnificent cup run by beating Willand Rovers on a penalty shoot out under floodlights at Cullumpton. After drawing 1-1 over 120 minutes of play the Otters won 4-2 on penatlys, lifting their first trophey of the season.
